Safety limitations
Halovia is not a replacement for local emergency services.
No emergency dispatch
Halovia cannot call or dispatch police, ambulance, fire, or other emergency responders. A dialer link still requires you to place the call.
Sharing needs your action
Halovia creates a private journey link for you to share. It does not send messages, invitations, calls, or alerts on its own, and it cannot guarantee that someone sees an update.
Keep Halovia open
Some phones may pause location updates when Halovia is closed, the screen is locked, battery saving is active, or the app is left in the background.
Network and battery limits
Real calls, messages, and updates need an available device and network. If your phone is off, Halovia cannot run.
Use normal emergency tools
When urgent help is needed, use your phone’s normal calling features and follow guidance from local authorities.
MVP security controls and remaining work
Halovia implements authenticated owner access, expiring viewer tokens, private storage, rate limiting, CSRF checks, and security headers. Independent audit and operational hardening are still required before a broad public launch.
